README

nanoev

A minimalistic but modular abstraction for IO event loops.

The goal of this library is to provide a uniform abstraction over multiple system event loops, in a way that plays well with Picos.

Usage

Very basic usage would look like this:

module EV = Nanoev_picos

let () =
  (* use a backend, eg. select *)
  let ev = Nanoev_unix.create () in

  (* install the backend *)
  Nanoev_picos.setup_bg_thread ev;

  (* setup a picos scheduler and use EV.read, EV.write, etc. *)
  …

Build status

Results of building nanoev with each compiler on check.ci.ocaml.org, run of against opam-repository 7cdc698. All results for this package.

Each result links to its build log. To keep crawlers from overloading the site, build logs require a GitHub sign-in (see ocurrent/opam-health-check). On your first log, GitHub asks you to “Authorize opam-health-check”, the OCurrent app that runs these checks; it sees only your public profile, not your repositories. The sign-in lasts 30 days.
