The first string is either "Shift+" or "", depending on whether "Shift" needs to be displayed to indicate the keystrokes. The second is the keyboard code itself. For instance:

  • For '(', returns "" , "(" instead of "Shift+", "9"
  • For 'A', returns "Shift+" , "a"
